Cherry Blossom Festival (Hanami) at Meguro River

Our lab organized a tour of cherry blossom at the famous Meguro River not far from Komaba campus.

Hanami is an ancient Japanese tradition of strolling around drinking and eating or sit under the cherry trees to enjoy the view of the cherry blossom, and to have great fun chatting with friends and colleagues.  The best time to visit Tokyo for Hamani is the last week of March – first week of April.  (sakura : cherry,  hana flowers, mi = viewing)

Meguro River is one of the best spot in Tokyo for Hamani.
