Description
In recent years, “3D revolution” has broken out in our world in which 2D technologies had dominated. For example, technological innovations represented by 3D cameras, 3D scanners, 3D printers, 3D displays are typical examples of 3D revolution. Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) has been the top among the 3D spatial measurement technologies. 3D laser scanners based on LiDAR have made a huge contribution to autonomous driving. In addition, it is especially important for “Industry 4.0” to create a variety of 3D services e.g. 3D modeling and acquisition of the 3D spatial information of the objects associated with computer integrated manufacturing (CIM). However, such 3D scanners based on LiDAR failed to address high-precision 3D measurement. Their typical longitudinal resolution is a few centimeters. With the above-mentioned background, we have developed a 3D laser scanner having longitudinal resolution of <50 um. Our 3D measurement system employs the amplitude-modulated continuous wave approach. In this scheme, the objects under test are illuminated with laser lights whose intensity is periodically modulated. The phase delay of the envelope profiles of reflected lights are measured, which correspond to the distance from the laser scanner. The high-precision 3D geometries of the objects can be acquired by scanning their surface point-by-point. Our 3D laser scanner is omnipotent, can acquire the 3D information with high speed, high precision, and long measurement distance. The longitudinal resolution is < 50um (theoretically ~20 um), and the azimuth resolution is 1 arcsecond (~0.00028 degree).

Our laser scanner “Eagle-3D”

What market are we addressing?
We are aiming to contribute to Industry 4.0. For example, 3D imaging for factories, steel plants, construction sites. Reverse engineering including industrial products, dental implants, prosthesis.

What problems are we trying to solve?
・Revolutionization of production lines of factories
・Release from physical labor in factories, steel plants, construction sites
・Revolutionization of reverse engineering

Our solutions
We provide a 3D laser scanner which enables the production lines to be omnipotent. Automatic scratch detection, self-maintenance in various fields, high-precision reverse engineering can be realized.

What is our unique competitive advantage?
The longitudinal resolution of the 3D laser scanner is <50 um, and the azimuth resolution is ~0.00028 degree. It is illumination independent and obtains extremely high noise tolerance.

What are the most important metrics of success in our business model?
The first business model is 3D data provision. We will sell 3D data to industries and consumers.
The second one is 3D laser scanner provision. We will introduce our laser scanners to factories etc

How will our company make money?
As for our 3D laser scanner vending business, our target customers are automobile giants, electronic manufacturers, construction giants, steel companies, governments, and medical agencies etc.
As for our 3D data provision business, we are considering all industries and consumers as our target customers. The customers send the product to us, and we provide 3D data to them. Or we can upload the 3D data of fancy objects on websites for sell. Nowadays, there are tons of websites providing 3D data.
