Attended Symposia on Ultrafast Optoelectronics

The 3th Symposia on Ultrafast Optoelectronics (UFO) is held at Chiba Institute of Technology. Prof. Set chaired this symposia, and D3 student Maolin presented his poster about high repetition rate fiber laser.

Prof. Ben Eggleton visited Yamashita-Set Lab

Prof. Ben Eggleton, professor and Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sydney came to visit Yamashita-Set lab, and gave an academic talk on Photonic Radar.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, researchers, and faculty members from whole university and RCAST, who engaged in lively discussions and gained valuable insights from Prof. Eggleton’s expertise on on-chip photonics. The talk was followed by a Q&A session, where attendees had the opportunity to delve deeper into the subject matter.

CLEO2024 at Charlotte

The Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO) is the premier international forum for scientific and technical optics, uniting the fields of lasers and opto-electronics by bringing together all aspects of laser technology, from basic research to industry applications. Attending a seminar held by University of Electro-Communications

We attended a seminar held by Minoshima-sensei at University of Electro-Communications. The content is about optical frequency comb and comb-based spectroscopy techniques.
We learnt a lot from Prof. Zhigang Zhang (Peking University), Prof. Youjian Song (Tianjin University), Prof. R. Jason Jones (University of Arizona), and Dr. Ruoao Yang (Peking University).
